The Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency (NSAA) is inviting those interested to submit concepts that will support the development of the Enhanced Direct Entry Apprenticeship. The projects will support individuals build important trade-specific skills, including safety training and work experience.
Construction Safety is hosting two focus groups to understand the effects of silica on workers’ health. All who work with concrete, roadbuilding, or materials containing silica are encouraged to sign up. Each participant will receive a $20 gift card to Tim Horton’s.
In response to the findings of their Creating Mentally Healthy Workplaces study, Construction Safety, in partnership with Merit Nova Scotia, is launching Anchor Point, a Member Assistance Program (MAP) to give construction workers who lack employer-sponsored support programs the mental health support they need. This program launches on September 26th, 2025.
