NSCSC Introduction to Project Management And Estimating Program

Join the Nova Scotia Construction Sector Council’s Introduction to Project Management And Estimating Program. The 10-week 14-person program, starting on September 16th and ending on December 6th, is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents living in Nova Scotia.

What the Program Includes

  • A hybrid approach to Project Management Instruction blending online and instructor-led classroom learning

  • Introduction to theory and principles of Construction Project Management, Estimating, Blueprint Reading, Law, Ethics, and Safety

  • Virtual class lectures, hands-on practical activities, and independent learning via on line training courses

  • 1 Week Employment Coaching

  • 1 Week job placement with a local construction employer.

Who Can Apply

  • Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and a resident of Nova Scotia.

  • Have completed a high school diploma or a GED program from a Canadian or International education institution. 

  • Applicants to this program may also qualify for financial support. Please discuss at the time of application.

  • Have some past professional experience (in some field applicable to the construction industry) or post-secondary education in construction (this is not a beginner program).
