Carpenter Millwright College: Drywall Steel Stud or Concrete Formwork Fundamental Training (Copy)

What: 5-week Fundamental Drywall Steel Stud or Concrete Formwork Fundamental Training

Where: Carpenter Millwrights College Mainland NS, 1000 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville

When: Monday May 15th – Friday June 16th, 2023, Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm

All participants will need to register with the Carpenter’s Union (Local 83) as a member (initiation fee waved) and pay a $62.00 fee (taxes included) upon commencement of the training to access FREE training. This fee includes 3 months of dues as a member and the administration fee. These programs include fundamentals in many aspects of the Drywall/Steel Stud Framing or concrete formwork industry with many hands-on projects, a majority of time with practical building exercises.  

Also included:

1.      Respectful and Inclusive Workplace Training

2.      NS Fall Protection Certification

3.      NS Confined Space Certification

4.      Mobile Elevated Work Platform training

5.      Telehandler/Rough Terrain Forklift Training

6.      Emergency First Aid

Upon completion, attendees will be registered as an apprentice with the NS Apprenticeship Agency to start their path towards Journeyperson Certification through NSAA!  

Participants will need to attend the entire 5 week training program and have steel toe boots.
