Construction Safety WHMIS Training (Dartmouth)

To align with the Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration’s new WHMIS regulations and Canada’s WHMIS framework, Construction Safety is offering WHMIS training for all supervisors.

What Is New:

There are many new changes in the updated regulations, but the major changes are as follows:

  • There are new definitions that clarify the difference between general WHMIS education and workplace safety training.

  • WHMIS training applies to those who are both self-employed and at risk of hazardous materials.

Important Information:

  • This change was enacted on June 18th and has been incorporated into Part 3 of the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations.

  • There is a six-month transition period for affected workplaces to take the program.
